Beavers Get Close Win Over Hitmen
|
Baffin Island and Hendersonville duked it out at Agent 47 Field and the Beavers came out victorious.
The Beavers had to overcome a good performance from Hendersonville pitcher Troy Parker to claim a 4-2 win at Agent 47 Field. Parker went 7.1 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. Baffin Island reliever Ramón López was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Ignacio Morales took the loss.
Jason Lambert's hit in the top of the ninth was a game-changer. With two out, he rapped a fastball from Ignacio Morales for a run-scoring double. It put Baffin Island in front, 3-2.
"I really like what we did out there today," Lambert said after the game.
Baffin Island has an impressive 56-25 record.
