Bandits Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Machine
|
Michael Elliott knocked in 3 runs to help San Francisco beat Chicago, 8-6. Elliott produced 2 singles and 1 home run. San Francisco reliever Carlos Ledezma picked up the win, bumping his record to 3-3. Horace Jacobs was collared with the loss. Kunihiko Daikawa recorded the save for San Francisco, his 22nd of the season.
Terry Dailey, the two overall pick in the 2025 draft, contributed to the San Francisco win with a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth. For the game, the second baseman had 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 RBI.
"Enjoyed this one," Dailey told the San Francisco Chronicle. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
