Giannini Helps Portland Cruise to 10-3 Win
|
Benefiting from Giancarlo Giannini's productive game, the Portland Cards downed the Vista Panthers, 10-3. Giannini went 4 for 4 with 4 singles. He drove in 5 runs and scored once for the Cards. Even with the win, the Cards have a dismal 55-107 record.
Troy Donaldson, who is a three-time All-Star, aided the Portland cause with a run-scoring double in the bottom of the first. For the game, the left fielder was 2 for 3 with a double, while scoring 2 runs.
