Beavers Win at Boston, 6-4
|
The Boston Rebels got a superb performance from second baseman Roberto Chávez. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Baffin Island. The Beavers won the game, 6-4. In spite of the loss, Chávez was named the player of the game. He was 2-4 with 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. The first-place Beavers, at 105-55, now lead their division by 3½ games.
Felipe Guerrero, who signed a 3-year contract worth $4,650,000 on 02/10/2030, helped out the Baffin Island cause in the top of the third inning with a 2-run single. For the game, the right fielder was 2 for 5 with 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Guerrero said.
