Victory Over Sheens Takes Pocatello to 118-41
|
The first-place Pocatello Bellas welcomed St Charles to New BRO Stadium.
Bellas designated hitter Shane Hutchinson put his stamp on his team's 14-1 win over the St Charles Sheens. Hutchinson went 1 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3 for Pocatello in the contest. Jing-xiang Fa earned the win for Pocatello. He lasted 7 innings, allowing 1 earned run on 5 hits, while striking out 8. With the win, he raised his record to 5-0.
Early in the game, Hutchinson had a 2-run home run for Pocatello. It was his 39th home run of the season and put the Bellas on top, 3-1.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Hutchinson said.
Pocatello has an impressive 118-41 record.
