Bellas Top Gang Green Behind Martin, 3-1

The Pocatello Bellas picked up a win at The Ballpark at Irvine, knocking off the Irvine Gang Green, 3-1. Starting pitcher Chris Martin, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Jaime Espinoza, credited with the save, is now 28 for 30 in save opportunities. The Bellas own a robust 116-40 mark.
The Gang Green had trouble solving Martin, who surrendered no earned runs on 4 hits over 8 innings.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Martin said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
