|
The Irvine Gang Green bested the San Francisco Bandits by a score of 9-4, with third baseman José Salazar getting the main credit. On the day, Salazar went 2-5 with 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Gang Green. Raúl Saltines closed it out for his 30th save. Irvine now sits at 93-61, while San Francisco falls to 70-85.
Jorge Martínez helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a run-scoring double to give Irvine a 1-0 lead.
"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Irvine skipper Patrick Carrier.
