Young Sensational for Beavers
The Baffin Island Beavers picked up a win at Beaver Dam, knocking off the New York Knights, 4-0. Starting pitcher Ron Young, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Beau Brown was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 24 of 29 save opportunities. Baffin Island leads the National League Eastern Division by 3 games.

Young tossed 135 pitches over 8.1 innings to clinch the win for the Beavers. The right-hander allowed just no hits, while racking up 12 strikeouts in the game.

"I thought we played a nice game," Young told the Baffin Island Daily News. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
