Vásquez Cracks 5 Hits
|
Juan Vásquez had an answer for everything the Greenville 84s threw at him today at Gateway Stadium. The St. Louis center fielder went 5-for-6 in the game to put his name in the record book and put the Browns on top, 5-4.
Summing up his batting philosophy to BNN writers after the game, Vásquez said, "I just see the ball and I hit it."
Juan Vásquez grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI double in the 10th.
This season Vásquez is batting .356 with 1 home run. His totals include 11 RBIs and 19 runs scored.
