Fans brought energy and enthusiasm to the Maui Tropics home opener. Jerry Martin started for the home team against José López for the Nevada Noise. The Tropics were unable to reward the home crowd with a win. The final score was 8-4, Nevada. Milton Watson was named player of the game.

The two teams provided some entertaining baseball for the Rainbow Stadium crowd. Regardless of the outcome, a good time was had by all.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Watson.
