At the age of 18, the Coronado left fielder has been named the winner of the Sub League 2 Most Valuable Player Award.
He had a .339 batting average and a .424 on-base percentage this year. In 63 games he piled up 82 hits, 17 doubles, no triples, 18 home runs, 69 RBIs and 50 runs scored.
"I'm blown away by the season I was able to put together," he said. "I'm looking forward to trying to do it all again next year."
Paul Lee of the Fort Collins Commoners finished second in voting, while Fred Wagner of the Coronado Eclipse finished third. | |
