| Amity Gardens's Cochran Shuts Out Headhunters Thursday, September 6th, 2029 All went well for Jeffrey Cochran of the Amity Gardens Westerners as he pitched his team to a 2-0 shutout victory over the Watertown Headhunters, limiting them to 4 hits. In the postgame interview, both managers had glowing things to say about Cochran on the day.
"Jeffrey's got a good selection of pitches he can throw at a guy," said Westerners manager Troy Beauregard. "He changes speed, gives different looks to different hitters. When he's on his game, he's quite a handful."
In the contest, the Amity Gardens right-hander rang up 10 and surrendered no walks.
"He didn't give us any second chances," said Headhunters manager Jordan Tanner. "It's a guessing game with him and today we were always guessing wrong."
So far this season, Cochran has a 5-3 won-lost record with no saves. He has made 8 relief appearances, logged 55 innings and fanned 61 batters while fashioning a 2.78 ERA and allowing the opposition a .223 batting average.
