| Darth Whalers García Lost for Year Saturday, August 11th, 2029 The doctors have spoken and Luis García of the Hartford Darth Whalers didn't like what he heard. The 20-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. García sustained his season-ending injury during the Santa Clarita Music game yesterday at Santa Clarita Grounds. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Hartford medical staff reported García had shoulder inflammation and would be absent from the lineup for at least 4 months.
García has taken the mound for no relief appearances this season, nailing down no saves while notching a 2-2 record with a 3.35 ERA. The Hartford reliever has limited opposing batters to a .258 batting average. | |
