 | Injury Sidelines Manuel Casillas for Season Wednesday, August 1st, 2029 The doctors have spoken and Manuel Casillas of the Oceanside Swamp Foxes didn't like what he heard. The 19-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Casillas sustained his season-ending injury during the Hartford Darth Whalers game yesterday at Swamp Foxes Ballpark. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Oceanside medical staff reported Casillas had a torn meniscus and would be absent from the lineup for at least 5 months. This season Casillas has no wins and 3 losses and a 6.10 ERA. |   |
