Pedro Rivas Hurt, Will Miss Rest of Year
Tuesday, July 24th, 2029
Quincy shortstop Pedro Rivas could miss the remainder of the season because of a ruptured achilles tendon. He exited yesterday's Oceanside game after injuring himself while running the bases. The original diagnosis said Rivas would be out 4 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer. "He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that."

So far this season Rivas is hitting .333 with no home runs, 0 RBIs and 1 run scored. He has 4 hits in 12 at-bats and a .333 OBP.
