The Maris School Mariners have officially captured the crown, the 4th in franchise history.
"We've got a team that can do it all and we think do it just as well as anyone in the league," said first baseman Grant Reynolds. "I hope no one is taking us lightly once the playoffs start."
Certainly the team's division crown will garner them a fair bit of respect, as the 24-17 record puts the club in position for the franchise's 3rd High School Stars League championship.
