 | Vélez Boosts Hit Streak to 33 Games Sunday, May 13th, 2029 The hitting streak for Broken Arrow HS first baseman Alejandro Vélez now stands at 33 games, but the Broken Arrow HS dropped today's contest 5-4 to the Mountain Pointe HS. Vélez went 2-for-4 in the game. "Things went well for me personally today," he said later. "I got 2 hits and the streak keeps going. But we didn't win the game." Alejandro Vélez grounded out in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th and walked in the 9th. This year Vélez has batted at a .402 pace with 70 hits, 9 home runs, 55 RBIs and scored 35 times. |   |
