 | Calderón Blisters Shelby HS Thursday, May 10th, 2029 No matter what the Shelby HS Rockets threw at him today, James Calderón hit it. He easily handled Rockets pitching, going 5 for 6 and helping the Paints to a 17-5 triumph at Havoc Stadium. "The way I was swinging today, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview. Told of Calderón's quip, Rockets skipper Ron Jones said he "would take him up on that next time." James Calderón hit an RBI double in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Jerry Marshall in the 5th, struck out in the 6th and doubled in the 9th.
