| Vélez Extends Hit Streak to 30 Games Thursday, May 10th, 2029 Alejandro Vélez continued his streak at Threshers Ballpark today, even as the ballgame did not go his way. The Broken Arrow HS first baseman was 1-for-4 in today's contest and now has hit safely in his last 30 games. The Broken Arrow HS were not as fortunate, losing 17-4 to the Madawaska Valley HS Wolves.
"Vélez was hitting everything we threw at him," said Madawaska Valley HS manager Chris Owens. "He is a tough out. Fortunately, things went our way in the ballgame today and we came away with a win." Alejandro Vélez struck out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, struck out in the 6th and flied out in the 8th.
