 | Turner Blisters Bishop Verot HS Wednesday, May 9th, 2029 Some moments become linked with a particular player's career forever. Jeff Turner of the Mountain Pointe HS had one of those moments when he went 5-for-6 at the plate today in the 16-15 win over the Bishop Verot HS at Ballpark of The Hills HS. "I won't forget this anytime soon, and I don't expect it to happen too often," the 16-year-old first baseman told reporters in the postgame interview. "I'll be happy to just get a hit or two every day. Enough to hang around the league a while longer. Like 10, maybe 15 more years." Jeff Turner singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th and singled in the 9th. This season Turner is batting .357 with 56 hits, 18 home runs, 48 RBIs, 30 walks, .455 OBP and has scored 49 runs. He has played in 36 games. View Boxscore View Game Log |   |
