 | Bailey Runs Hit String to 20 Straight Games Friday, May 4th, 2029 With 3 hits at Ballpark of Novato HS today, Don Bailey added another game to his hitting streak -- the H.H. Dow HS shortstop has now hit safely for 20 games in a row. But the hitting feat wasn't enough for the Chargers today, as they fell, 19-11, to the Bishop Gorman HS Balbasaurs. "Frankly, I don't care about hits," Bishop Gorman HS manager Elijah Davidson said later. "I'll let him get 5 hits in 5 at-bats if it means we get a win." Don Bailey singled in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Jeff Martin in the 5th, walked in the 6th and doubled in the 9th. This season Bailey is batting at a .413 clip with 15 home runs and 47 RBIs. |   |
