 | High School NL Names Hanson Best Batter Monday, April 30th, 2029 16-year-old Tom Hanson made a few Oceanside HS headlines during this past week as the rookie first baseman proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and High School NL officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 14 hits in 25 at-bats to put up a .560 average. Hanson collected 6 home runs, 14 RBIs and scored 12 runs. This season Hanson is batting .426 with 46 hits, 9 home runs, 28 RBIs, .512 OBP and has scored 34 runs. |   |
