| Rocha's Hit Streak Soars to 20 Games Sunday, April 29th, 2029 José Rocha has been on a tear for several weeks, and his hitting streak just keeps getting longer. The 18-year-old Jeffersonville-Youngsville Central HS Trojans second baseman extended his streak today to 20 games, going 1-for-2 as Jeffersonville-Youngsville Central HS got the best of the Bishop Gorman HS Balbasaurs at Classics Ballpark, 9-6.
"José has been playing real well lately and we're proud of him," Trojans manager Tom Green said. José Rocha grounded out in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Marvin Hopper in the 2nd, was hit by a pitch in the 4th, walked in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th.
During the current season Rocha is batting at a .376 clip with 5 home runs and 25 RBIs. He has played in 26 games and scored 34 times. | |
