 | Pierson Hit String Snapped at 21 Wednesday, April 18th, 2029 Curt Pierson's 21-game hitting streak was snapped today at Metropolitans Stadium. The 17-year-old Otsego HS Bulldogs third baseman failed to get a hit in 4 at-bats in the game against the Bishop Verot HS, but Otsego HS came out the winner, 7-5. "I don't think the streak was ever a big deal to Curt," Bulldogs manager Jim Wilkerson said after the game. "He ain't that type of guy. He just wants to help the team win ballgames." This season Pierson is batting .485 with 5 home runs. |   |
