| Llevanos Strokes 5 Hits Thursday, April 5th, 2029 The Oliver Ames HS Tigers stopped the Mountain Pointe HS by a score of 33-18 at Carbines Ballpark today, with the lion's share of the credit going to first baseman Marcos Llevanos. The 17-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits.
"Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Llevanos said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard."
Llevanos did just that in his 7 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Mountain Pointe HS.
"Not much that I can say," offered Mountain Pointe HS manager Jonathan Kretzer. "He just hammered the heck out of us."
Marcos Llevanos doubled in the 2nd, grounded out in the 2nd, doubled in the 5th, grounded out in the 5th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
Presently Llevanos is batting .480 and has collected 1 home run, 5 RBIs, .500 OBP and scored 10 runs.
