 | Hit Streak Now at 20 for Jones Wednesday, April 4th, 2029 The streak is alive and well -- at least for today. Heath Jones did it again, bashing 3 hits in the contest at Pelham Manor HS Grounds today. For the last 20 games in a row, the 18-year-old left fielder has collected at least one hit. His efforts helped the Oceanside HS Pirates beat the Jackson HS Swamp Bats 9-8 today. "I'm happy I kept the streak going," Jones told a standing-room-only crowd of reporters gathered in the Oceanside HS clubhouse. "Honestly though, I'm looking forward to going home and not thinking about this for the rest of the day." Heath Jones struck out in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, walked in a run in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th, hit a two-run single in the 8th and hit an RBI double in the 10th. |   |
