 | Emery Batters Connecticut for 5 Hits Saturday, May 19th, 2029 All game long, Pittsburgh's Todd Emery was rattling the walls at J.O. Christian Field and banging out base hits against the Connecticut Huskies. When the dust finally settled on the diamond, he had a 5-hit day and the Panthers had a 14-5 victory. Speaking with reporters after his standout performance, the 20-year-old right fielder said, "Get 5 hits, win a ballgame, it's nice. I could get used to this." Todd Emery hit a solo-shot off Tony Singleton in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 3rd, hit a two-run double in the 5th, hit a two-run single in the 6th, walked in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. So far this season Emery is batting .325 with 13 home runs, 37 RBIs and 34 runs scored. He has 64 hits in 197 at-bats, 30 walks and a .412 OBP. Emery has played in 45 games.
