 | Riley Runs Hit String to 25 Straight Games Friday, May 18th, 2029 The hitting streak for Seton Hall left fielder Vernon Riley now stands at 25 games, but the Pirates dropped today's contest 4-3 to the Stanford Cardinal. Riley went 2-for-4 in the game. "Things went well for me personally today," he said later. "I got 2 hits and the streak keeps going. But we didn't win the game." Vernon Riley hit an RBI single in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th and was hit by a pitch in the 9th. For the season Riley is batting .377 with 72 hits and 18 home runs. He has scored 40 times and batted in 55. |   |
