| Season Possibly Over for Luis Remedios Tuesday, May 8th, 2029 The doctors have spoken and Luis Remedios of the Georgia Bulldogs didn't like what he heard. The 19-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Remedios sustained his season-ending injury during the Virginia Tech Hokies game yesterday at Foley Field. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Georgia medical staff reported Remedios had a torn rotator cuff and would be absent from the lineup for at least 4 months.
This season Remedios has chalked up a 11.39 ERA while ringing up no saves with 4 wins and no losses. He has made 15 relief appearances, pitching 21.1 innings, giving up 27 hits, and holding opponents to a .307 batting average. Remedios has also recorded 13 strikeouts and allowed 21 walks. | |
