 | Castaneda Slams 3 Deep for Missouri Friday, May 4th, 2029 David Castaneda went on an explosive hitting spree against the UCLA Bruins at Taylor Stadium today, launching a trio of blasts to lead the Missouri Tigers to the 13-7 win. The third baseman finished 3-for-3 with 4 runs scored and 5 RBI. "It was just one of those days," Castaneda said in a postgame interview. "I don't know how to explain it. I'm just putting a good swing on the ball." UCLA skipper Jeremy Smiley said Castaneda was "locked-in." "We made some pretty good pitches," he said. "Those first two homers were exactly where the pitcher wanted to put them. He's just hot right now -- you've just got to tip your hat to him." David Castaneda hit a two-run home run off Ernest Brantley in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Ernest Brantley in the 4th, walked in the 6th, walked in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Dale Bennett in the 8th.
