 | Schroeder Stretches Hit String to 20 Thursday, May 3rd, 2029 The Texas Christian Horned Frogs stopped the Maryland Terrapins today 15-13 and Eric Schroeder collected a base hit yet again. The Texas Christian catcher finished with 4 hits to run his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20. "I want to get a hit every time up," a visibly excited Schroeder told reporters after the contest. "I want to get a hit every game I play. Right now, I feel like I could take this streak to 100 games." Eric Schroeder singled in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, hit a two-run double in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Pedro Gallegos in the 5th and hit a two-run home run off Nicholas Wright in the 7th. Currently Schroeder is hitting .393 and has collected 8 home runs, 27 RBIs and scored 22 times, while playing in 25 games. |   |
