James Sims Lost for Season
Wednesday, May 2nd, 2029
The doctors have spoken and James Sims of the Villanova Wildcats didn't like what he heard. The 19-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Sims sustained his season-ending injury during the Auburn Tigers game yesterday at Villanova Ballpark at Plymouth. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Villanova medical staff reported Sims had a torn flexor tendon in his elbow and would be absent from the lineup for at least 13-14 months.

Currently Sims has a 2-0 won-lost record in 6 starts with a 1.98 ERA. He also has 36 strikeouts in 27.1 innings.
