At Jaspers Ballpark today, the Baylor Bears right fielder burned Providence pitching, going 6-for-6 in a 16-9 Baylor triumph. "When he's on his game," Baylor skipper Rory Robertson told reporters, "he can probably stroke a base hit blindfolded." Gerald Taylor singled in the 2nd, hit a GRAND SLAM off Jesse Hairston in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit a two-run single in the 7th and hit a two-run single in the 8th.
