Wilson 5-for-5 for Crimson Tide
Monday, April 16th, 2029
There are moments in a player's career that they will not soon forget.

Dave Wilson of the Alabama Crimson Tide had one such moment at Sewell-Thomas Stadium today, when he went 5 for 5 at the plate. His hitting heroics weren't enough to pull out the victory, however, and Alabama fell to a 11-9 defeat to the Vanderbilt Commodores.

"This was quite a day for me individually, but a little disheartening at the same time," the 20-year-old first baseman told reporters in the postgame interview. "It would have been very special if we had won the game."

Dave Wilson singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Robbie Troxler in the 4th, singled in the 7th, hit a three-run home run off Hank García in the 8th and walked in the 10th.

Thus far this season Wilson is hitting .381 with 5 home runs, 17 RBIs and 13 runs scored. He has 24 hits in 63 at-bats and has played in 15 games.
