Mike Cannon Hurt, Out for Year
Tuesday, April 3rd, 2029
The doctors have spoken and Mike Cannon of the Stanford Cardinal didn't like what he heard. The 19-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Cannon sustained his season-ending injury during the Xavier Musketeers game yesterday at Ballpark of Grand Prairie College. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Stanford medical staff reported Cannon had a damaged elbow ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 11 months.
