Just ask Vicente Mojica, who put together a stellar month out of the pen. The Seattle Rainiers closer, 24, kept the opposition off balance all month as he held them to a .298 average and walked away with the Pioneer League Pitcher of the Month award for August. Mojica posted a 3-1 mark and a 0.60 ERA in 13 relief appearances. In 15 innings, he had 5 saves, 18 strikeouts, and 9 walks. Mojica has 56 relief appearances this season with 18 saves.
