 | Pioneer League Selects August's Best Batter Saturday, September 1st, 2029 When Vernon Hill stepped up to the plate in August he did it with confidence, and today he was honored with the Pioneer League Batter of the Month award. The young Chula Vista right fielder posted a .337 batting average with 9 home runs, 18 RBIs and scored 23 runs. Hill also worked pitchers for 19 walks to post a .454 on-base percentage. Hill is hitting .291 in 2029 with 85 RBIs and 24 home runs. |   |
