Hampton Lights Out in Shutout Win
Tuesday, September 4th, 2029
All went well for Silas Hampton of the Athens Assassins as he pitched his team to a 7-0 shutout victory over the Detroit Dirty Snow, limiting them to 7 hits. In the postgame interview, both managers had glowing things to say about Hampton on the day.

"Silas's got a good selection of pitches he can throw at a guy," said Assassins manager Jaime Robles. "He changes speed, gives different looks to different hitters. When he's on his game, he's quite a handful."

In the contest, the Athens left-hander rang up 5 and surrendered 6 walks.

"He didn't give us any second chances," said Dirty Snow manager Freddy Vázquez. "It's a guessing game with him and today we were always guessing wrong."

This year Hampton has worked 20 innings with 17 strikeouts en route to a 1-1 record and 3.60 ERA.
