 | Frank Wilcox Hurt, Will Miss Rest of Year Tuesday, August 21st, 2029 The season is finished for Frank Wilcox of the Athens Assassins. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Assassins reliever suffered a fractured elbow while throwing a pitch in a recent game against the Kenosha Kingfish. Team doctors said it would take at least 7 months to heal. This season Wilcox has logged no saves. He has thrown 59.1 innings, dished out 71 strikeouts and walked 45 while putting up a 1-2 mark and a 5.16 ERA. |   |
