 | Appalachian League #1 Hurler is Anderson Friday, June 1st, 2029 Any time a rookie makes a splash on the scene, it's got to be great for his career potential. Just ask Don Anderson, who put together a stellar month out of the pen. The Pensacola Pilots reliever, 19, kept the opposition off balance all month as he held them to a .237 average and walked away with the Appalachian League Pitcher of the Month award for May. Anderson posted a 1-0 mark and a 1.69 ERA in 13 relief appearances. In 16 innings, he had 7 saves, 19 strikeouts, and 10 walks. For the year Anderson has saved 7 games while posting an ERA of 2.11 and 21 strikeouts in 21.1 innings. His totals also include a 2-1 record in 19 relief appearances. |   |
