 | 5-for-7 Day for Nichols Tuesday, August 28th, 2029 There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day. Marvin Nichols is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-7 against the Reading Rainbows at Paul Owens Stadium today. The monster effort from the 23-year-old center fielder helped the Kingston Iguanas take the win, 20-0. "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Rainbows manager Armando Mateo. "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today." Marvin Nichols grounded out in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, hit a two-run single in the 7th, hit a three-run triple in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
