Dean allowed no runs on 3 hits, totaled 5 strikeouts and gave up 3 walks. Butler manager Augusto Torres said he could tell immediately it was going to be a good game for Dean. "Right from the start, you could see how economical he was," Torres said. "He threw a lot of strikes." Dean has made 30 starts so far this year and put up a 6-12 won-lost record with a 5.70 ERA.
