 | Beaumont Star, Outstanding Pitcher Award Winner Monday, October 15th, 2029 It was as good as money in the bank when Manuel Santiago took the hill for Beaumont. He paid his club back with interest this season with a superb 18-12 mark, collecting the Southern League Outstanding Pitcher Award for 2029. The Roughnecks star delighted the hometown fans with a fine 2.98 ERA and 283 strikeouts in 254 innings. Santiago surrendered 224 hits and 87 walks and limited opposing batters to a .236 batting average. Fernando Guzmán of the Beaumont Roughnecks finished second in voting, while António Ruíz of the Wichita Wranglers finished third. |   |
