 | Week's Top Performer Honored by SNL (28 & Under) Monday, September 3rd, 2029 24-year-old Marvin Johnson made a few Beaumont headlines during this past week as the rookie catcher proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Southern League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 18 hits in 30 at-bats to put up a .600 average. Johnson collected 1 home run, 8 RBIs and scored 11 runs. Johnson is currently hitting at a .372 pace with 4 home runs and 31 RBIs. |   |
