| Biscuits End Miller's Streak Friday, August 31st, 2029 It was the best of both worlds for the Montgomery Biscuits today at Riverwalk Stadium, as they defeated the Wichita Wranglers 5-3 and also snapped Al Miller's 24-game hitting streak. The 23-year-old Wichita third baseman failed to get a hit in 4 at-bats.
"Nothing personal against Miller, we just wanted to win the game," said Biscuits skipper Ramón Castillo. "We did a great job keeping him off-balance and guessing."
When asked by reporters about his streak coming to an end, Miller frowned and said, "I won't lie and say that I'm not disappointed about it, but I'd feel much better if we had won."
Thus far this year Miller is batting .314 with 12 home runs, 75 RBIs and 68 runs scored. | |
