Just ask Mark Tidwell of the Bismark Border Guards -- the latest Northwest League Outstanding Pitcher Award winner. "My dad always told me to dream big and dream always," he said. "It's not like I shoot for the Outstanding Pitcher Award," he said. "I have big aspirations for what I want to do in this game and what I want to achieve in a long career." The Border Guards pitching ace made some of his dreams come true this year, winning 17 games and losing only 8. In 39 starts, Tidwell registered a 3.68 ERA and limited other clubs to a .263 batting average. He fanned 202 in 225 innings and issued 88 walks. Domingo León of the Bismarck Barons finished second in voting, while Ben Reyes of the Casper Ghosts finished third. |   |
