He got them from his teammates and he got them at the plate during an outstanding hitting performance against the Bismark Border Guards. White smashed 5 hits in 6 at-bats on his monster day, leading his club to a 15-13 win. "John was hitting everything," said Smashers manager Pedro Velázquez. "It really was a special game for him." In the opposing dugout, Border Guards manager Ricardo Silva told BNN beat writers that White "ambushed" the club. "Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but we'll have another chance," he said. "Hopefully, White oversleeps next time." John White hit a solo-shot off Adrián Sandoval in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, grounded out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
