 | Northwest League Picks Top Performer Monday, July 16th, 2029 So far in his young career, Steven Smith has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Northwest League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 24-year-old San Diego Smashers first baseman hit at a torrid .714 clip as he collected 10 hits in 14 at-bats, 5 home runs, 7 RBIs and 7 runs scored.
