 | Longoria Picked Best Player Monday, July 9th, 2029 So far in his young career, Ken Longoria has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Northwest League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 25-year-old Balzac Rams first baseman hit at a torrid .500 clip as he collected 13 hits in 26 at-bats, 3 home runs, 9 RBIs and 8 runs scored. This season Longoria has delivered 113 hits in 356 at-bats for a .317 average with 32 home runs. He is getting on base at a .395 clip and his totals also include 94 RBIs and 68 runs scored.
