 | Las Vegas's Valverde Goes Ballistic with 5 Hits Tuesday, September 25th, 2029 It was high-fives all around for Juan Valverde at Bill Robinson Field today. He got them from his teammates and he got them at the plate during an outstanding hitting performance against the Spokane Trappers. Valverde smashed 5 hits in 6 at-bats on his monster day, leading his club to a 13-11 win. "Juan was hitting everything," said Stars manager Micah Grindley. "It really was a special game for him." In the opposing dugout, Trappers manager Ralph Scholl told BNN beat writers that Valverde "ambushed" the club. "Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but we'll have another chance," he said. "Hopefully, Valverde oversleeps next time." Juan Valverde singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
